Our customer contacted A and R Inspections with a problem. A and R advised them to contact one of their approved vendor's, which my customer did, and responded to A and R with information the vendor gave my customer. A and R responded the problem would not be covered, my customer asked why and then the tirade began. The owner of A and R started to scream and yell at the customer, told him to "grow up", and hung up on the customer. My customer called back and was given the same response. But the second time the owner of A and R advised the customer his warranty would be cancelled and a pro-rated refund would be sent. My customer then called me to let me know about the situation. I called the owner of A and R to ask about the situation and was told I was an (expletive) liar, was screamed at, told not to call on a customers behalf, was hung up on, and he called again to scream some more and tell me the warranty was going to be cancelled. The response was verbal abuse and left me shaking for hours. I had not called about the warranty but rather the treatment of the customer. A and R states in their warranty if a Realtor calls about a problem the warranty will be cancelled. What A and R does not understand the customer is only their customer due to their being one of the Realtor's customers to begin with! Well, the problem was never fixed for the customer, they paid for the repair on their own, and it turned out not to be what the A and R vendor said it was but actually something that would be covered by the warranty. When we requested the pro-rated refund we received responses noting that A and R would contact the authorities should we contact them again and there was no refund as we had not followed their warranty procedures. Yet we had done so. We have since paid for a new inspection and a new warranty for our customers. And,although the owner of A and R said everything was our fault and we drove him to frustration, we see from complaints through the Better Business Bureau as well as web sites, that we are not alone in being treated in this manner.
