Don't be fooled by this fraudulent company! It all started with the technician from ABE'S Garage Doors and Gates coming to my Santa Monica townhouse to diagnose why my garage door opener wasn't working. The technician was rude and arrogant to begin with and then the onslaught of lies began. One quick look and his diagnosis was that I needed a new $595 garage door because this was an "old model" which couldn't be repaired. Upon hearing this I was furious, how could my garage door opener be an "old model" when I purchased it back in 2007 from ABE'S, I asked him? When I showed him a copy of my old invoice which showed the purchase price to be $450, he quickly changed his story and said he believed that a repair was possible and he could do it for $345. I told him he was out of his mind, and threatened to report them to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU for all their lies. Soon enough, the repair charge was once again lowered to $260. Obviously, I still refused because there was no way in hell I was going to trust him anymore, so I told him to get the hell out! Unfortunately, I was still forced to pay him &65 for the service charge. Interestingly enough, only minutes later, the technician's supervisor called me on my cell and agreed to lower the repair charge to $160. I told him "NO WAY IN HELL" would I ever do business with them ever again. I told them I wanted my $65 service charge refunded, and they refused. Well you can be sure that they have seen the last of my business and I will make sure my friends and neighbors in Santa Monica will not use them in the future.
