I purchased my Honda in 06. I was financed through AHFC at a ridiculous double digit percentage rate. I was a first time buyer, a young girl, and the salesman took advantage of that. But, that said, I have been paying the 463 per month for my used 04 Honda diligently. Unfortunately, in August, my bank was bought by another bank, and unbeknownst to me, my routing number changed. I paid online TWICE. Got confirmation numbers both times. Yet, payment was never processed by AHFC, because of the routing number issue. My husband contacted customer service numerous times and tried to get to the bottom of why the payment was not posting. After being accused of not having the money, customer service finally acknowledged that the issue was with the bank and that there would be no late fees incurred.
Then, in December, we moved. We put in a change of address with our November payment. Also, we called and put in a change of address with customer service. AND, we put in a forwarding address with the P.O. We still didn't receive a bill. During the chaos of the move, we forgot to pay the bill because of not receiving it. So, when we realized our mistake, we immediately paid it online. It was only a week after our bill was due that we realized this when we paid. So, I am telling you all of this to tell you that AHFC has put on my credit that I was 30 days late THREE times. I do not even have record of me technically being late 30 days even once. Furthermore, after discussing this with customer service, THEN speaking with the supervisor of customer service, Honda REFUSES to remove it from my credit. And, they were absolutely rude about it. Jason Smith, supervisor at AHFC told me "we CAN remove it, but we WON'T remove it". They don't care that I have been paying faithfully, on time, for over four years. They do not allow any room for errors, accidents, or situational discretion. They will not defer payments, nor will they refinance with reasonable terms.

I love my Honda. It's a great car, and I will drive it until the wheels fall off. But, I will never use AHFC again. Nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. If I could put no stars, I would.
