I have been very disappointed in the service I have received at Anasazi Leather in Albuquerque after purchasing a reclining sofa, and 2 recliner chairs. One of the reclining chairs purchased 05/28/2010 tipped backwards, nearly injuring an elder relative. The owner, who is in business with his son, had verbally assured me that their "claim to fame was selling better furniture than others in town and by standing by what they sold." I told him I wanted to return the tipping chair for a replacement. He suggested having his "furniture repair-person" come out to take a look. I told him I would rather have a different chair. He insisted it didn't cost anything to have his guy look at it. The repair person determined the reclining mechanism was bent.I again stated I wanted a new chair to the owner. After several weeks of waiting, the repair person showed up at my door 11/16 stating the owner' son, Lance Riedl, now insists my only option with the chair is to have the chair fixed. Lance Riedl also insisted my receipt said "as is" which it doesn't and that I bought the chair over a year ago. I'm not sure where he is getting his information as I have a copy of the receipt in hand. When I told Mr. Riedl the best advertisement for a business was word of mouth he said "his business was doing just fine and he didn't need my recommendation."
I wouldn't ever buy furniture from this company again. I wish I had known about their customer service (and very possibly the quality of the merchandise) before I walked in the door and gave them $4500.00.It is amazing to me that a company doesn't have to worry about customer service with this economy.
