Elder rip off

This company showed up at my 85 year old mothers house to complete her bi-annual service checkup and because her filter was excessively dirty they talked her into a 1200.00 whole house HEPA filter system. The Aprilaire 2310 unit costs about 150.00. I guess they felt justified in charging $1000.00 for the 1 1/2 hours it took to install. I contacted the company and they felt the charge was okay because they cleaned the coils too. It is very sad when a company has to overcharge the elderly.
