CDA Law Center Best Deal Around
CDA Law Center was able to accomplish what I could not with Wells Fargo. I went to Wells Fargo twice and was rejected, after they gave me the run around for almost four months, Wells Fargo wouldn't even return my calls. Finally after frustration and desperation set in, I went to Save your home California and was put in touch with CDA Law Firm. At first we were unsure about using them, but my gut was telling me to contact them back. Finally, I returned their call and got set up with Ray Ghamsari. Things for us were pretty desperate, we had started to give up hope of keeping our home. The past few years have been difficult for us, five to six months after we got our home, I had a heart attack and had to have a quadruple bypass. A couple of days after surgery I started having complications and spent the next two months in and out of the hospital. Having 3 kids, my wife had to keep taking time off work, so we were going without her full pay checks. In about 2 months time we got the equivalent of 2 weeks worth of pay. Anyway, because of having to keep the utilities up, buy gas and groceries, we found ourselves about 3 months behind on our house, then our car broke down and cost $2500 to repair, which was about 2 more house payments. When I realized how far behind I was I started trying to contact Wells Fargo to get help. All I got was the run around from them. When they finally decided to "help", they kept asking for documents whenever I called to find out the status, which irritated me because all the documents they kept asking for were the exact ones I had sent previously, come to find out after 3 months of this they did have the documents, but no one had submitted our application, which this person finally did. I mean what kind of game are they playing, no one bothered to wonder why they kept getting the documents, but no application had been submitted. Once they application was in and documents, which took them about 6 to 8 weeks to complete it went to their underwriters. Finally after 4 or 5 months they came back to me saying they couldn't help me. After all this stress, I finally decided to return CDA's call. I was skeptical of using a law firm, always afraid that it was a scam. But after many assurances, and doing some research on CDA, we decided to go with them. And we are so grateful we did. At the time I finally called Ray, we were in default on our home with the possibility of eviction. Thanks to CDA, were able to file an injunction, which stopped Wells Fargo from taking our home and kicking us out. At the time Wells Fargo would not work with us even on trying to make payments to try and save our home, they wanted a minimum of nearly $8,000 to prevent further action against us. Even after I explained the whole situation to them, they really didn't care, which really frustrated me because all there advertising says how they are there to work with and help there customers. What is really annoying and wrong is the millions and millions of dollars they received from the government bailout, so they could help people like us keep their home. We tried several other agencies to get help, like HOPE and HUD, with no success. That was when I finally called CDA back. Ray with CDA was awesome right off. He took the time to explain the entire process we would go through, even that there was always a chance that Wells Fargo could deny us, because they were one of the more difficult institutions to get a modification from. He helped me put together all the documents I needed. He was always friendly and polite, even when there were times were I called him almost everyday, he was always supportive and reassuring, even after my case went to negotiations, he always had time for me and my questions. CDA even worked with me on paying the fee, making sure it did not cause me or my family a burden. We were nervous because Ray told us right off that there was always a chance that we would not get our modification. Once things really started rolling it still took Wells Fargo 3 or 4 months to agree to the modification and process through their underwriter's. CDA was able to lower our interest rate from 4.625% to 3.5%, which lowered our payment by about $180.00 a month. With me being on Social Security that is a huge help for us. I highly recommend using CDA Law Center, especially Ray Ghamsari. If you are patient and do every thing they tell you to do, in the time frames they give you and be honest with them from the start, I believe they can get anyone a modification. So I give them five stars. Way to go CDA. Because of CDA, we got to keep our home, we was and is a blessing, because we really love our home. Alton Talley
