Ordered and paid up front for a custom table from Carbon Designs for delivery in 10-12 weeks (as stated on website). Company failed to communicate anything for the next 12 weeks. When I followed up they claimed their "standard delivery schedule" was now 12-14 weeks. Finally received the table after 17 weeks, but it was damaged. They blamed the carrier, but it had clearly left their factory with the damage we saw.
They offered a paint stick and a $250 discount off a $6,000 table. We refused. They said take it or wait another "standard delivery schedule" of 16-20 weeks for the replacement. We refused and asked for our money back or a much better deal. They "magically" reduced the production time to 1 week. We accepted, but it was another con. Turned out "production" didn't include delivery. Their stated delivery window on their sales literature is 5-15 working days (1-3 weeks) after production is complete.
After aborted attempts and misinformation their first actual delivery offer was 10 weeks later. So, they lied about their production schedule, their delivery schedule, or both.
Now it's over 7 months later and we have no table. They can't make it worth our while because they can't lose money. They can't/couldn't expedite shipping because they don't control the shipper and don't/won't pay for expedited shipping. Can't/won't give us our money back because it's been too long.
