Our house had finally sold in Hoffman Estates Illinois
and we needed to move our belongings to Los Angeles.
My wife did a search for Chicago based moving companies as we lived in the suburbs.
Our Realtor recommended that we contact a Los Angeles based company.
The thought with this is that they just may have somebody that they moved to Chicago and would possibly need a return trip.
The buyers of our house recommended Cardinal Moving Systems based out of Los Angeles.
Cardinal was the company that was moving them to Hoffman Estates out of Atlanta Georgia.
Cardinal is a nationwide mover so I googled them and up they popped on my computer screen.
I spoke with Mike in the sales department and he walked me through a list of items of furniture that we needed moved
to Sun Valley, California.
Mike was most helpful and informative about the move process and he gave me a guaranteed rate move cost.
Now the real challenge was for Cardinal to have us moved out so the new owners could move in.
I was stressing that the truck from Atlanta would have all the new owners stuff in it.
Where would they put ours?
In a panic I called Mike @ Cardinal and he informed me that Cardinal had another trailer and crew in Chicago from a different move.
Then I realized that we were in good hands.
Dave, Kepha, and Julio showed up as promised the day of pick up bright and early.
They all walked thru once with Dave...and when they went out they all carried something.
Dave said never go out to the truck empty handed.
Dave walked thru the house and put stickers on all the furniture and boxes to be moved.
Bear in mind my family had been in the house for two generations and we had crap every place imaginable.
Well these mover guys worked non stop and the whole trailer was loaded and they were closing the doors before 6pm.
Dave told me that he was on his way to the truck scale and somebody from Cardinal movers would call me the next day with the final price.
Now I got a little concerned after all the bad stories I heard about movers.
But the very next morning I received great news from Cardinal movers the final cost was less than the estimate!!
