I purchased a vehicle service contract with company 9 months ago. I have a service issue that must be resolved in order for my car to operate. It involves the fuel pump system which is covered in the warranty. What is not covered, apparently, is a sensor that is directly connected and related to the fuel pump. One cannot be replaced without the other, the cost is over $1000.00 which is now out of my pocket in addition to the $1800.00 + amount I spent on the warranty. It is a gotcha for consumers like me who do not understand the operational issues of fuel pump systems.
When I called this company the gentleman was arrogant and condescending in his approach to my concerns over the "unlisted" part of the fuel pump system. He accused me of whining over the contract not covering my part when his company paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to other patrons. I am appalled at the lack of concern over this gotcha policy and want to warn others to beware of the non-language of this company's contracts. There is a non-cancellation policy attached to this policy so one cannot cancel it and receive a refund which would pay for non covered work or parts.
