I do NOT recommend doing your consignment business with Consigning Women, Ventura.
I've had positive experiences with other local consignment stores and was really excited to be doing business with a shop that specialized in larger sizes. However, my 90-day contract which ended in June 2011 was not resolved until late September. I have serious concerns about the integrity of this business after the owner avoided finalizing our business contract and grossly misrepresenting the amount of funds due to me.
The business owner, M. Anne Hubbard, was unprofessional when she did not return many direct contact phone calls or respond to email sent from her business website (she "doesn't use it"). Only when I assured her I would make appropriate complaints did she respond to my requests. Once resolved, she made no apology for her unethical business practices. Therefore, I agree with Rebecca F. (Insider http://Pages.com) when she said "The owner is impossible to work with" and Simone B. (http://Yelp.com) who also had difficulties with consignments, including funds due.
Ms Hubbard also owned "Fashion Plus" at the same location in Ventura.
However, this is a good resource for women's large size clothing...
