COMPLETELY UNETHICAL: Upon arrival their driver stated my car was “overweight” (without even looking in the trunk) and he would need $100 additional in compensation. In spite of the fact the car has only half a tank of gas and is well under the quoted 150 LBS of additional cargo. I refused further payment and he then conceded the cargo did not exceed 150 LBS but suggested that for $50 he would overlook anything that might “damage the leather”. I also refused this demand or to be part of any further extortion. The driver refused to honor the agreed contract terms and left without my vehicle. I sent an email complaint but no response. I called Crowley the next morning to begin resolving the shipping issue and spoke to both Sara and Phil in dispatch who both notified me that if I were willing to pay more, they could get me car shipped. More bait and switch. Mid week they booked a company to complete the transport of my vehicle for the weekend. They never contacted me and didn’t show up. Two weeks later the vehicle still not shipped. I demanded a refund as per their website’s claim “We strive to be the Best, and we even offer a 100% money back Guarantee”. Crowley refused to ship my car or to refund my money. BEWARE, they won’t honor their quote and will refuse to refund their fee even if they don’t perform the service. Upon seeing a negative review posted online, they called to offer a refund “if I changed my negative rating to 5 stars”. Otherwise, he refused to honor the 100% money back guarantee claim.
