Inconsistent information received

They claim they spoke to me once in the past and sent numerous mailings but when they called again they asked for the minor child. So I questions whether or not they spoke to me as stated on the third response. First response I was told they didn't speak
to me and no prior phone attempts. Second response a direct dialer called and no answer, I was told I should check my caller ID to see who called and call back. Third response they spoke with me once and I committed to making payment. I have no recollection
(no pun intended) of speaking to this company or receiving mail. The first letter I received I got after I threaten to contact BBB. I sent a payment which they claim they never received (must been sent on the Titanic or by Amelia Earhart) and I have sent a
second payment (that one will get lost in the Bermuda Triangle).
