Extremely poor customer service
My experience with Diane's was very disappointing and frustrating. Then to top it off I was treated poorly by their customer service department. They obviously don't value their customers as evidenced by their behavior, so I plan to shop elsewhere. Other
reviewers have had the same experience. I ordered an item from Diane's and it took a month to receive it. I only ordered from them in the first place because they appeared to be one of the only shops to have it in stock at the time and I needed it for an upcoming
vacation. A week passed without receiving a shipping confirmation so I emailed to inquire. The email I received in reply was curt and unfriendly stating that my item was on back order and could take up to 2 weeks to receive. Something that would have been
nice to know upfront without having to ask. Every other site clearly listed the item as back ordered on the order page, but Diane's did not, leading the customer to believe items were in stock when they in fact were not and could take up to a month or more
to ship without any warning. I believe this is false advertising. Especially considering I was first told up to 2 weeks. A month later I receive an email saying my item is finally shipping. No apologies for the delay or asking if I still want the item considering
an entire month has passed which is simply just unacceptable. I emailed Diane's asking to cancel the order as I no longer needed the item. I was told they could not cancel it and they offered me a refund for store credit which is their normal policy not any
special treatment for a customer who had been made to wait an unreasonable amount of time for an item they promised weeks earlier and initially implied was actually in stock. I felt it was such a slap in the face that they wouldn't provide any customer service
regarding this matter. To add insult to injury they even tried to imply that they had sent updates, but I checked my spam folder and I never received any updates from them. In this economy it is good customer service that will keep the shops in business that
should be in business. I have never received such poor customer service in my entire online shopping experience. In fact I frequently shop at a store that has strict return policies but will bend them in appropriate circumstances because they weigh the cost
of a refund vs losing a customer and they always side with keeping a customer and future business. Diane's does not believe in simple decent customer service. From my experience they make promises they can not keep. They are not upfront about items that are
in stock or not, so there is no telling when you could receive your item. They don't value their customers and if they make a mistake they will make you pay for it. I am never shopping with them again.
