I was promised a certificate for 2 round trip airline tickets anywhere in the continental US for attending a presentation. I was told that there was a $50 reservation fee for the flight. When I called back later to cancel my appointment the lady on the phone said that this fee was charged by the airlines and that it was refundable as long as I showed up for the flight and that there were no other fees involved. I agreed to attend their meeting based on this information. After attending the sales pitch (which was offering to take my timeshare off of my hands in return for me paying them $7700) I got my certificate which stated that there was a $50 non-refundable processing fee, a $100 reservation request fee and a $50 per person travel agency fee. It also stated that they currently had 7 destinations available of which 2 were in Mexico!
Very shady company with high pressure sales pitch, much worse than when I bought my timeshare.
