I was naive enough to pay attention to an infomercial from this people last August.Since my wife wanted the product, a Shark Vac-the-vacuum cleaner, nearly $200 I did order the cleaner. They were speedy enough to send it to me. The deal was to pay the total price in four installments. The vacuum cleaner is, to say it with just few words, a piece of junk. The main problem, it would only sweep for 15 minutes, the it would overload, shut off automatically and the user would then need to wait 45 minutes to resume sweeping. That "feature"in not explain in the infomercial or in the instructions received with the item.
I called them and advised them that if that was the situation I did not want the unit. I asked for instructions to return it but they were not in the mood to issue a return of merchandise nor a label fro it. I insisted that I was not going to pay for returning the item, and they then told me that it was "possible" they could arrange that.
In the meantime, they charge my card $ 49.95 as my second installment. (The initial payment was done at the time of purchase). I told them that since the unit was going to be returned, that I was requesting to hold the other payments and not charge my card.
Guess what, from that point on, they did not answer my emails, but worse yet, they toll free number 1-800-798-7398 is always busy when I call. I don't know whether they blocked my number or they moved to another place.
I am completing the documents the California Customer Protection Agency wants me to be filled.
This company is a hoax. Their customer service agents are rude.
I check several places in the internet and I found that this company has several addresses. they are in Massachusetts, California, New York., etc, but their toll free number is the same.
I might be swimming against the tide, but I will not relent until I see my money in my local bank account. They might be dragging their feet to honor my request for a refund, and according to several reviews I have read in this and other forums, but I know how to use my feet, and my brain, etc.
