MY A/C IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED AFTER 42 DAYS FROM THE INITIAL INSTALLATION DATE. This Company collected funds in advance to install a central a/c on October 10, 2012. The initial installation took as long as two days. When they left, I noticed that my two stage unit did not stop working and contacted the Company. They sent a second crew that informed me that the first crew did not install the unit properly, made changes and installed the missing parts that the first crew did not install. The a/c kept running with problems and I decided to hire another company recommended by the manufacturer to fix their mistakes. That company repaired and left a report of the errors that they fixed. Then, I checked with the City of Miramar and found out that the installation had started without the City Permit. I informed the Company as their contract required that they would pull the permit. The city inspector came on November 8 (almost a month from initial installation) and found several installation code violations. I sent copy of the City’s correction notification to the Company. They responded the same day that they were "on it" and that they would keep me posted. I have not heard from Florida Solar and Air again. Today, at 42 days from initial installation, my a/c unit is still running under code violation and without permit from the City. It appears strange to me that a Company with an A/C license would make so many installation mistakes repeatedly unless they use unskilled subcontractors that might jeopardize their license. Otherwise, I can't have an explanation to this negligence, lack of proper skills, contract and city code violations. This issue should be investigated by the proper licensing authorities.
