Exorbitant pricing

I recently submitted a urine sample for testing. My insurance paid almost 1100.00 towards the 1779.65 charged for the test. Genova wrote off 528.58 of the fee and sent me a bill for 169.00. When I questioned the amount due, the billing expert told me that Genova charges what ever is considered acceptable in the health industry. In Other words they charge as much as they can possibly get out of consumers and insurance companies and no set fees. For instance, there were 16 separate procedure codes used....the most being 273.76...the least was 46.99. I am a healthy women that wanted feedback on the estogen that I am using. This company seems to be exploiting the over 60 crowd that uses bio-indenticals. Don't use these shake down artists!
