Hye Tech went door to door selling a $30 coupon with several "free" services such as oil change, tire rotation and 12-point safetly check. So several weeks ago, I took my car to Hey Tech for an oil change, tune-up and brake inspection. I ended up paying them $460 and found that my car was making noises it had never made before.
Whenever I have had brakes changed, brakes have always felt tight and the handbrake (emergency brake) rather difficult to exercise. After Hye Tech had supposedly changed the brake shoes, my brakes felt exactly as they did before I took my car to them.
I am now going to take my car to another mechanic that I have been to before just to see if all the work Hye Tech claims they performed on my car was actually performed.
BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!
