After all the work Justin and his team put in I felt like I had to leave a review. We hired IDS because we were tired of jobs looking good on paper and then losing money by the time they were done. We had always blamed the estimating department but after a few days onsite Justin pointed out a number of issues that placed the blame on operations and frankly some of our management. This was not an easy pill to swallow but we listened and had an opened mind with everything that was presented to us. One thing we were told right off the bat was to slow down and fully plan jobs before starting, which made a big difference. We had always frontloaded labor on most jobs even when down the road it turned out to be the wrong decision. Now for the first time, we can see job costs as the work is happening and make changes before things get out of hand. That alone has saved us from throwing more labor and materials at jobs that weren’t going to make money. The value we got was well worth the time and cost and we hope to be able to bring James back in the future to work on other projects.
