After seeing what IDS was capable of and how much we accomplished, I regret not bringing in outside help sooner. With IDS's help we were able to change our views and practices at a fundamental level. If that sounds vague, let me be specific. With Jason and Thomas's help we totally overhauled how we handle our day-to-day business. They helped us install new policies and processes that were data driven and not just something from our gut. This was not an easy or inexpensive undertaking, and the first two weeks felt like we were not accomplishing much at all. The reality is we didn't know what we needed to fix until we tore apart every single facet of our business. It was only after we had a better understanding of what was wrong that we were able to implement meaningful changes and turn things around. The handbook they helped us create was very detailed and held the crews to the standard needed to be successful and ensure the projects we undertook turned out profitable. The process was long and at times painful, but in the end it probably saved our company from a slow painful death.
