I have dealt with many contractors and workmen over the past twenty-five years as a homeowner. Joel’s Gutters and Roofing gets my highest recommendation.
Joel is extremely knowledgeable about gutters. He answered all my questions respectfully and with enthusiasm. He stayed as long as I needed him and was not in a rush. I never felt pressured, just invited and educated. In every contact I had with Joel, he was friendly, professional and accommodating. His estimate beat all others’ for the job of replacing my old, largely ineffectual gutters. He designed one gutter that ingeniously avoided an additional downspout, creating cleaner lines in my patio.
Walter, the gutter installer, was on time, and he and his helper did a seamless installation. The gutters themselves were literally seamless, since they were custom-made by the portable gutter-making machine in the truck. Also the actual finished job aligned perfectly with the eaves and was, simply, quite beautiful. On his own initiative, Walter left my yard cleaner than it was when he arrived; and, when I asked him to, he cheerfully disposed of some other debris, unrelated to the installation, that had been lying around.
He also showed me how a low area in my front walkway tended to pool water; he advised installing a flat area drain and told me exactly how to do this, how to instruct the gardener to trim back some roots to install the drain, and what kind of drain I needed. (This is not something Joel’s Gutters and Roofing does, so Walter could not profit in any way from this advice). Walter gladly came back to do an additional gutter and downspout that I decided on later; then he willingly made another two trips--accommodating unexpected changes in my schedule--to finish it up.
I could not be happier with the work of Joel’s Gutters and Roofing. They are experts and nice guys. I would gladly use them again.
