Service is a thing of the past.

I have worn a uniform my entire adult life and remember the days when uniform stores went the extra mile to make sure you had all that you needed and looked great when you put their uniform on. Well those days are gone. Today my son went in the Valencia LAPG store to buy five uniforms to wear to upcoming Sheriff’s Academy. After learning his uniforms would not be completed in time, he said that he would have to take the uniforms elsewhere to be tailored. With that said, the person fitting him refused to sell him the shirt that had been pinned for alteration, and by the way it was the last one available in his size. And if that wasn’t enough, the gentlemen fitting my son had the gall to tell my son how the uniform should be worn, a uniform he had already been wearing for two years.
So to fill this void, my wife and I drove to the Ontario Mills LAPG Store to buy the fifth uniform. The shirt was a easy find, but the very last available 35” waist pair of uniform pants were on a manikin. The pants appeared new, still had all the same labels as the pants on the rack. But after asking if the pants could be removed from the manikin, we were told “no, because they are not in inventory.” That answer just seemed asinine.
But, brings me to my point that Service is a thing of the past and you will definitely not find it at LAPG. Thank goodness Pristine Uniforms was not faraway, where I was able to find a pair of uniform pants. And please don’t think this was my first visit to LAPG, because it wasn’t. I have been there six or eight times between these two stores and each time I have been there the employee act like they are doing you a favor when you ask for assistance.
