We read LaBarge company bio in the local shopper's guide and were impressed with the owner's history & attitude (at least what was on paper). We contacted Jack Lantry to visit and bid on the landscaping. Seemed very interested on the phone. First warning sign is that he showed up late, without any advanced notice. Then he committed to deliver a proposal within one week. Nothing. Another week went by, nothing. Finally contacted Jack on status. He apologized, claiming that he didn’t think we were in a hurry for a bid (?). He agreed to turn a proposal in 3 days. Nothing. Left a note at our house stating he’d have the proposal done in two days. Guess what? You get the picture. Please be very cautious with this company and new owner. Be prepared to spend time & effort to keep Labarge accountable.
