THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST!! Reading these other reviews are almost a combination of my family's experience with this company. The 1st estimate was great and they claimed to have their own trucks and it would be a straight shipment from their storage to the destination and the quote could only go up 10% more. They said they held a excellent rating with the Better Business Bureau. They were scheduled for a 8am pickup and showed up at 4pm, in a Uhaul truck. They had my wife sign a form before they could start loading and packing. They then disregarded my wife's instructions and packed and loaded everything (including stuff she had set aside to not be transported). After everything was loaded in truck, they came back with a new price "based on the guys expert experience in the moving field" that was almost TRIPLE THE ORIGINAL QUOTE! When my wife said she wanted to not take some things to get the price down or get the truck weighed to make sure the price was right, the guy said he would charge us $150 per hour each (3 guys) to unload stuff and that if we weighed it it would be more. This forced my wife to pay the required 60%. The contract that was given to her now had the price filled in and a handwritten note saying that "I agree to the above price and..." this was all written after the fact on the blank form my wife signed to get them to start loading. When we complained about the price we got "I have your wife's signature here on the contract". After we called to get our stuff delivered, we could not get through to anyone. Always the receptionist who took a message. But we never received a return phone call, EVER! It was so frustrating. How can this business function when no one is ever there? Once we did get a hold of the manager, the excuse was "Our system was down." When asked if this was the reason no returned phone calls could be made, they are rude. We had heard the excuse that "they are out of the office" or "the system was down" several times over several different weeks from them??!! Once we got a hold of them they stated our stuff left their storage and would arrive in 5-7 days. 7 days later in a call, the stuff didn't leave yet. Once it did leave, it switched drivers halfway here and was loaded with at least 4 other shipments. It arrived 2 and a half weeks from the original date it was supposed to. Our refrigerator was stacked on top of our dryer, bending it. Several boxes were smashed by the weight on top of them. Things were damaged and missing. Part of our son's bed (footboard) was missing, a historic photograph that was irreplaceable, a television and more smaller things. When we called the company about this (after a week of messages) we got the manager who was rude and hung up on my wife. He then said just follow the contract and fill out a claim. This company has absolutely no care for the customers in communication or treatment. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! I feel for everyone that used them and in reading your reviews, I know EXACTLY what you speak of.
