Review 6/30/2010
June 30, 2010

On May 17, 2010 I made reservations with M Relocation, Inc. for a move date of Saturday June 26, 2010 between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00am. At that time, Representative ‘Dawn’ quoted my relocation rate as follows:
1 truck/ 3 men, $79.00/hrs, 10.0 hours $790.00
Travel time $711.00
Total Moving Rate= $1, 501.00
Deposit Paid by Customer $200.00 05/17/10
Dawn also stated that my move would consist of two days only. Pick-up 06/26 and drop-off 06/27.

On June 25, 2010, I was contacted by ‘Melanie’, Dispatch Manager, stating that my time frame had been changed to 2:00pm-5:00pm and my driver would be Arthur (786-308-8877). This time frame was a major inconvenience to me, the customer, and no effort to change or compromise on the company’s part was made. I don’t understand how my reservation (that was made over a month in advance) could be delayed 6 hours plus.

On June 26, 2010, the movers arrived at approximately 8:15 pm. Three hours after the 2:00pm-5:00pm time frame. The three men entered my apartment and assessed my items that needed to be transported by M Relocation, Inc. Arthur briefly explained the packing material form to me and periodically made phone calls to a ‘Michel’ about methods of payment, inventory, etc. Also, during the pick-up, the movers left debris, packing tape, and other various materials throughout my apartment. Carpet stains were clearly visible after the men left. After all of my items were loaded onto the truck, Arthur computed on his cell phone that the charge for Packing Materials was $631.00. He failed to mention that not only each material had a fee, but also the labor had a fee. At that time, the men had completed 3 hours of labor. Arthur presented me with the Bill of Laiding and again made numerous calls to ‘Michel’ about the form. It was clear to me that this man was either new or uninformed of the company’s policy and procedures. At 11:30pm that evening I paid $650.50 in the form of Western Union Money Orders. Following that, Arthur could not tell me what time they would depart on Sunday 06/27 and he would not issue me a copy of the packing material charges or Bill of Laiding. Instead, Arthur and the other two men asked me for a tip. I spent the next hour cleaning all the debris, packing materials and other various materials that your employees left.

Throughout Sunday June 27, 2010, I could not get in contact with anyone from M Relocation, Inc. I called countless times and was never contacted.

Monday morning June 28, 2010, I spoke with ‘Melanie’ around 10:00am. She acted as if she had never spoken to me, or knew nothing of my order for service. When I began to explain the series of events that had happened so far, she responded vaguely as to what happened to my items. Later that day she was contacted again and she stated that the truck was scheduled to leave Lauderhill, FL that evening and deliver my items on Tuesday June 29, 2010. No acknowledgement of the fact that no one contacted me on Sunday—the scheduled delivery date. When I asked what happened, Melanie had no response. Later that evening a man by the name of ‘Michel’ (954-260-4736) contacted me saying he would be my driver and that my delivery time frame is 2:00pm-4:00pm for Tuesday June 29, 2010. He also said I had a balance of $1, 380.51. This amount was incorrect and he could not explain in detail the sum of the charges just that it was due when he delivered my items. Again, when asked what happened to them transporting my things to Tallahassee, FL on Sunday 06/27/10, he replied that the three men including Arthur were “too tired” and had “worked several jobs before mine”.

On Tuesday June 29, 2010 at 1:45 pm I contacted ‘Michel; (954-260-4736). I asked him what his estimated time of arrival would be to my Tallahassee, FL location. He seemed confused and tried to rush me off of the phone, mumbling “did anyone call you?” and “let me call you back to find your driver”. I told him that he contacted me the previous day saying that he would be my driver and would deliver my items 06/29/10 between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. ‘Michel’ then stated that something was wrong with the truck and he needed to call me back. I immediately dialed M Relocation, Inc. office number and spoke with a ‘Crystal’ this time. Again, the representative seemed confused and un-informed of the situation. She placed me on hold and returned only saying that the truck had a broken window, is in the shop until this afternoon, my items should arrive Wednesday 06/30/10. This day I took action by contacting the Broward County Police Department. An Officer Johnson responded to the 6445 NW 54TH Ct., Lauderhill, FL 33319 address. The officer reported that the address was residential and no one was home. Later that evening ‘Michel’ was contacted and he said that my belongings had to be transported to a new truck; he stated they would arrive on Wednesday June 30, 2010.

Today, June 30, 2010, at 9:00 am ‘Melanie’ was contacted and confirmed that the truck was scheduled for a delivery between 5:00 pm and 7:00pm. At 10:40 am I spoke to ‘Michel’, he said that all of my belongings were being held in a storage facility where he needed to wait for the new truck and his men to arrive to transport my belongings. In addition, he said that they would need to stop at the local DMV for one of the movers to have something fixed on his driver’s license.

It is evident that on every attempt I make to locate my items I am presented with an excuse. As of now, I do not know where the truck is and even if the company has my items. This company has failed to delivery my belongings.

It appears that the employees of M Relocation, Inc. are not being up front and honest with customers. Every time I made an inquiry about my reservation not one person could give me a definite answer.

My experience with M Relocation, Inc. has been nothing but horrible.
