I had a similar problem as the review posted by Kay G. We hired Mainline Moving and they ended up sending us to a company called ZooZ Transportation. I think they're the same company actually. They have the same voicemail greeting and Mainline Moving owns the zooztransportation.net domain. I've tried to contact the phone number they have to clarify this relationship, but I never received a call back.
The movers that packed up our kitchen stole beer from our fridge and drank it while they were at our house (we had left them alone because we had to get to a hotel). They also stole Gatorade. We're also missing about 16 bottles of wine.
There were tons of problems with missed pickup and delivery dates that were promised. They have a severe lack of communication (as in... *any* communication at all) problem.
Originally they told us it would take about 4 or 5 days for delivery. It ended up taking 20 days with at least 3 missed delivery dates. We were never called when they missed the time we were expecting them.
Just like Kay G., my original estimate was for $2400. After they loaded the truck, they told us that it was going to cost $5000. After some arguing, we agreed on $3700.
Fortunately, I recorded my final conversation with Shawn (the CEO) from ZooZ and as Kay G. says he was rude. They also violated our contract for payment (which I have scans of). The recording proves the contract violation.
By the end of it all, the police were involved and my wife and some friends ended up unloading the truck ourselves.
Again, I'm not sure if this is the same company as ZooZ transportation, but this is the company that sent us to them. Even if they're not related, we were never able to talk to this company again because they never answered their phone or returned any phone calls.
Never use this company.
