Manpower Moving was brokered as a mover for us by American Van Lines in June of 2008. I did not choose this company and would not have had I known the dis-regard for my personal household items that would ensue. Upon delivery of my household items, all of the living, dining, patio, and bedroom furniture was damaged due to inadequate wrapping. All of my bed mattresses were scuffed, dirty and gouged. My patio table base was broken beyond repair and had to be replaced. I have two Thomas Kincaid paintings which must be -reframed due to improper wrapping. A very large wooden framed mirror must also be re-framed due to chunks of wood being gouged out. An antique dressing table was not wrapped at all and must be re-finihed. Numerous smaller items including pictures and nick-nacks are broken beyond repair. Patio sculptures broken in half, flat screen TV frame and speaker broken and dented. We opened boxes of our packed things to find no packing paper and items mixed together that would ensure damage. There was no apology from Mr. Hepburn Williams or his moving associate Bryan. I filed a claim which was met with an un-satisfactory offer. After numerous attempts to rectify the situation fairly via letters and telephone calls, arbitration was requested by me. Mr. Williams called American Van Lines to ask for an arbitrator; Anthem Claim Management handled the arbitration as requested by American Van Lines. A more than fair settlement to Manpower was reached by Anthem Claim Management and now I am simply waiting to be paid by Manpower. Please understand the money arbitrated will not cover my damages, but is more than the original offer. Manpower received the arbitrated settlement statement in early July of 2009 and have yet to pay. I have tried to contact them via the telephone; disconnected, by certified letter; all returned, and general mail, all returned. Do not use this company to execute your move, you will sustain damage and you will not receive any payout for damages as I have not. I have tried so many times to contact them and settle this, but with absolutely no response.
