I participated in the rehab at Narconon of Vista Bay about 7 years ago. This place had a profound effect on my life in a very positive way. I found the counselors there to be extremely caring and helpful. A strong difference of this place compared to others I know of or personally tried, is that they guide you down a path of self observation and self learning. This technique really made things real for me and it wasn't just listening to someone lecture about this or that. Another quality of this program that I really enjoyed was that they never allowed anyone to dwell on the horrible stuff they had done or forced you to accept that "you're an addict forever". This was a very life affirming program and it has given me the drive and know how to really succeed in my life. I have been clean since the day I entered this program and it's now 7 years later! The skills that I learned help me to not only maintain my sobriety but more so to succeed at the things that I want to in life. I highly recommend this rehab for people who are serious about their recovery. It takes some work to complete it, but I'm living proof that it can provide long term recovery.
