I received an e-mail to get dish Network for 9.99 a month Free installation, no activation fee etc. So I thought ok lets do it and silly me filled out the form online and ordered it not knowing that it was a 3rd party and not dish network directly. Anyhow I never got a confirmation e-mail of my order and shortly after I had 3 pending charges of $10 each on my bank account. I had signed up for Auto Pay because it offered cinemax for 12 month for 1 penny so I had to enter my Debit Card information. I called Dish Network and they said they don't have any information about my order. So I called the number from the website and that's when I found out it was a 3rd party. However, all I got was an answering machine cause they are closed on weekends. So Monday I called again and got the answering machine again. I started getting really scared that it was a bad scam. I tried again a little later and finally reached a person. They were really nice and told me that the $10's were a hold (by this time there was only 1 charge left pending) and that it will drop off within a few days which it did. They also gave me my installation appointment and account number with dish network, so I was a happy camper at that point. But when dish network came to install they had screwed up my order totally. I wanted 1 HD and 1 reg. receiver but got 2 HD receivers. Then I had HBO & Starz for 3 month free which I did not want and no cinemax and my Auto pay option was not activated either. So I talked to Dish Network and got that taken care off. I had to sign up for AutoPay again and pay my 1st bill with Dish Network. As soon as I did that I had a charge of $49.99 from dishNetwork4u in addition to the $53 that I paid to dish network. It was pending so I thought maybe a mistake and I will see if it drops off again since dish network did not know anything about that charge. Well on Saturday the charge went through and of course I can not reach these people to find out whats going on. At no time during this whole process was I informed that there was some kind of charge. Please do not sign up for dish network with this retailer and if you do, do not give them your bank account information. They will take advantage of it and take money out without informing you.
UPDATE:
I finally got a hold of these people and right away the lady said: Yes you been charged a fee that you should have not been charged I will credit this back to your account. It will take about 3 business days.
Now this is great. But it should have not happened in the first place. It seemed like they tried ....lets see if the the customer complaints.....then we credit it back. If not we made an extra 49.99.
Still seems fishy to me!
The reps there are really friendly, but I wish I did not have to call them under these circumstances.
