I'd like to say that after receiving student massages at both New Mexico Achool of Natural Therapeutics, and then at other schools, that New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics is by far the most professional and talented. Some of the basics that were specifically lacking "Elsewhere" were: none of the students (nor graduates!)have been taught that relaxing and heart-healthier massage is that which goes *toward* the heart, not toward the feet or down the arms toward the hands! Sheets at other places are horribly wrinkled and untidy. The teacher who comes in and rubs my head then walks out and immediately into the room right across from mine without even washing her hands! Their massage rooms are kept very cold, and me and others i spoke to were cold even with a blanket. They overcharge: some places cost $40 for a student massage, as much as many graduates charge, and I've heard at least one person exit saying he'd never go back again. No one is at the reception area to greet incoming clientele- it may be 10 minutes before someone comes by to take you to a room. New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics would never do these things; this school is so professional, and fairly priced, caring about the people who come in! I love this school and had no idea what I had there til I moved out of state and experienced the "other schools". Their sheets are smooth, obviously professionally cleaned, the rooms are cozy, the techniques are clearly practiced throughly, and this school offers is the best massages I've ever had.
