Great game, I would give it five out of five (Maplestory) except for a few things...
Basically, I find myself an over-educated stay at home dad, with plenty of free time. I didn't know much about computers or video games, so I asked around and had this one recommended to me. Very fun, has a feeling of Nostalgia as it reminds me of a game I got to play when I lived with a rich friend while my dad had cancer, it was called Secret of Mana. Fun game, I wasn't very good at it though.
One month in, and I am auto-banned for a reason I didn't know. I submitted a ticket, and two weeks later was denied my appeal because I was accused of using a third party program. this accusation is completely false, I didn't even know what such a program was.
I have resubmitted a ticket, but I am doubtful after reading some reviews here that it will be taken care of. After two weeks my problem was not addressed, I was just accused and condemned falsely.
I am just a customer that wishes to use their product. I wish to use money on their product. I am denied that because of reasons I do not understand. My friends have laughed at this situation when I tell them what has happened. Basically the odds of me hacking anything are about as likely as an apple pie running for President of the U.S. (and winning)
this situation is ridiculous. It would be like somebody accusing an innocent man of robbing a bank, then condemning him without so much as a simple trial.
I understand they probably don't make much money on a product that is initially free. I understand their customer service is seriously limited and understaffed. but they must realize that they are destroying a perfectly good product that could otherwise make them more money. If I were in charge over at Nexon, I would read these reviews and I would start firing people.
I see Nexon as a company putting some great games out there for free. That is awesome. Their customer service however, is absolutely awful.
My rating stands however, because I am still hopeful that my issue will be taken care of. Also, I think the horrendous experience I have had, although making me very unhappy, has balanced out with the fun I had in the month of play. It is like I got to eat wonderful chocolate cake for a month, just to experience major stomach pains for the next two weeks... and a little after that.
