PC Security Shield is a fraudulent company. What is sold under the name, spyware or antivirus (depending on the product) is anything but spyware or antivirus. What is being sold is more aptly described as scare-ware, and I would suspect that beyond being scare-ware, and massively ineffective spyware and anti-virus, it may also contain some of its very own malware.
Who ever purchases this rubbish should not be surprised when their computer goes from functional to completely unresponsive. At least, this was my experience.
One would do well to avoid purchasing anti-virus and spyware programs. There are plenty of good anti-virus and spyware programs available. They all work much better than this garbage. I would hope that PC Security Shield 2010 is the last version ever made available. I would hope that by 2011, either this company is shut down and their ownership is prosecuted for fraud, or that humanity reaches that critical mass of anti-virus enlightenment, and all of a sudden, no human ever finds that it is reasonable to purchase another anti-virus program ever again. Or both. Try Microsoft Security Essentials; Panda Cloud AV; AVG... purchase Webroot, Trend AV, or any other anti-virus you may find.... just avoid this PC Security like the plague that it really is...
