Review 12/22/2008
I am a devote Christian and I would not try to mislead anybody or spread false testimony. The truth is, I would not under any circumstances recommend the services of Park Plaza Automotive to anybody. Firstly, they are extremely expensive. They think they are doing a service for you by giving you free key chains and when they place their advertisement on your back license frame without your permission. But what is most important that they fix the car right the first time with minimal hassle and that they do so by charging the least amount of money as possible. Instead they charge way more than anyone else and think they are making up for it in the long warranty and the extra junk they provide like the coffee and a loner car and key chains. My experience with them was terrible. They will NOT give you an estimate on the repairs in advance. Not even a ball park figure. They make you leave the car first and after about 6 hours to 2 days they tell you what is wrong. (On one occasion they gave the wrong diagnosis.) By then I was without my car with so long that I had no choice but to just get it over with even though I knew they were overcharging since it had the same work done for must less some place else. One of the guys who works there, his name is Chris and he handles all the paperwork and is very slow when searching the database to find the prices and labor costs and to add it all up for you. Its actually very irritating to have to deal with someone like that who is not organized and who didn't have everything ready even once it was time for me to pick up the car. After 4 days! As for the loner cars they let you borrow. Don't even bother. Once they lent me a 1995 Volvo 850 with an exhaust leak and the check engine light was on the whole time. Another time they loaned me a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck that didn't have the current registration tags on and I got hassled by the cops on cold and wet winter day. The check engine light on the pickup was also on. Just goes to show what kind of people you are dealing with. Like the roofer with a leaky roof. They are the mechanic with the permanent check engine light illuminated on all their cars. The Volvo with the exhaust leak could have killed me because if I didn't roll the window down I could have passed out and crashed from carbon monoxide poisoning. A deadly, odorless, tasteless, invisible gas. And it would have been all their fault because they are mechanics and they should know when a car is not safe to drive. That Volvo had an exhaust leak and a broken/worn out CV joint/wheel bearing in the front drive axle that was also an accident waiting to happen.
