Also located in Goleta on Calle Real (where the owner is more often), i have never received such horrible customer service in my entire life. i work in customer service myself and if i talked to any of my clients the way the OWNER (Jennifer Straight) talked to me, i would either be written up or fired! i gave them my wedding dress to clean and preserve (mid October) b/c they are "eco-friendly" as well as the only "certified" dry cleaners in town and a wedding dress specialist! they did not get ANY of the stains out on my dress, not even the dirt at the bottom, they forgot to box it thank GOD b/c i was able to see their poor work. After calling the owner several times to talk about the situation and perhaps getting some sort of discount, when i finally got ahold of her, she first said she would call me right back which i told her was great b/c i needed to get it resolved before i left for my honeymoon on Sunday 10/31 (this was Friday afternoon) she never actually called me back, i called her 3 times the next day and never got ahold of her. She ended up calling me on Monday after i was already on my honeymoon. I left the duty to my mom while i was gone, Jennifer immediately was argumenitive with her, they did not resolve it. When i got back, it took me 3 days to get a hold of her and when i did, she was extremely argumenitive with me right off the bat, talking over me, etc. After a long battle to get my wedding dress back with a discount (b/c i was going to have to take it somewhere else to get it recleaned) i got it home and took a good look at it and over HALF of my bustles had been ripped out from where they were sewn to the lining of my dress! i was horrified! She basically ruined my dress!!! I took it back to show her and she was very combative, she had the nerve to tell me that the person that made the dress did not sew the bustles into strong enough fabric, she was yelling at me to respect her, dont call her lady, and that she felt sorry for my husband! wow!!!! really? the owner of a business said this to one of her customers?! i was appalled and told her i was taking her to court for not only the refund of what i did end up paying, but the cost to re-clean, re-bustle, and re-box, which is AT LEAST $400!!!!!!! (That was last Monday 11/22) i could not believe she would not swallow her pride and give me my measily $100 back. DO NOT GO TO PLATINUM CLEANERS!!!!!!!!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HORRIBLE CLEANING METHODS. THEY DID NOT PUT ANY EFFORT INTO MY DRESS ACCORDING TO ANOTHER REPUTABLE CLEANERS I WENT TO FOR A 2ND OPINION! This is obviously an extremely sentimental piece of clothing that i was hoping to preserve for a long time, and they basically treated it like a rag doll.
