We were contacted by a sales rep from PP who pitched to us an advertising op in the Golf Almanac. It sounded like a great opportunity at first but as we started doing some research on them, we quickly became suspicious. We continued receiving calls and faxes from them confirming an ad that we supposedly ordered. The rep was pleasant but pushy and wanted to speak to our AP to get the payment asap. He claimed he had one ad spot left that he was holding for us and that if we didn't pay immediately, the spot would be given away to someone else. I personally called each of the clubs that they claim to distribute to. I spoke to shop managers, general managers and operations managers. All of whom never heard of the company. I gave PP the benefit of the doubt and called them to request that they supply me with a contact name at each club so I could verify their claim. The rep's tone immediately changed. He started to push that the spot would be given to someone else if we didn't pay now. I told him to go ahead and give it to another client as we were not comfortable paying for the ad before being provided with some proof of legitimacy. He then said that only his manager could give me that info and that he would be contacting me shortly. Haven't heard a word from them since. Funny how the numerous pushy calls and faxes immediately ended when I requested contact names for the clubs. If you get a call from PP and want to have them leave you alone, simply ask them to give you names and numbers for the clubs they distribute to. The calls will end. What they are doing is sadly not illegal but most definitely unethical. There are 26 complaints against them on the Better Business Bureau site. Their claims that it is a different company is bogus. I've verified and confirmed it is the same company on several different sites, regardless of the different addresses.

**RESPONSE TO PLATINUM PUBLICATIONS**: Your reply is useless. You do not give out names to protect yourself. Each of the club executives that I spoke with were very grateful that I contacted them as they were unaware that you were falsly using their clubs as referrals. None of them have actually heard of you. Each of them requested that I send over your contact info and documentations of faxes so they can contact you directly and file a complaint with the BBB. Each club contact was very unhappy that you are falsely using their name and they weren't bothered in the least that I contacted them. Quite the contrary. Expect some calls from the 5 clubs you falsly list on your numerous bogus faxes.
