I purchased a Red anodized Trumpet from When I received the trumpet, I found it to have a manufacturing defect which caused the valves to stick. The piston tube was "out of round", which caused the piston to strike the side of it causing a "metal on metal" clanking type sound. There was also a large scratch on the instrument. I contacted customer service and was instructed to return the trumpet and they would ship me a replacement. The return shipping charges were my responsibility. When I received the replacement trumpet, I found it to have the same manufacturing defect on a different piston tube. Since it was the 2nd defective item I received, I contacted customer service and requested a refund. I was instructed to clean and lubricate the instrument per their instructions, which I did, and which did not relieve the problem, as it was an obvious manufacturing defect, not a proper maintenance issue.

I returned the 2nd defective trumpet, once again paying for the shipping charges. After 5 weeks of the 2nd defective trumpet being back in their possession, I contacted them multiple times via phone and emails. They finally responded and said I would be given a refund. The refund that was given to me had restocking fees and both of their shipping charges deducted from it. They also deducted for a "used mouthpiece" and "missing oil". They did not return the mouthpiece to me that I paid for, and the oil was inside the case. They also stated that the trumpet was inspected when received by them, and found to be "not defective", and stated that the issues with the trumpet were due to my "lack of proper maintenance". Both of which are false statements on their part!

I was also told that their terms state that "any returns for any reason are subject to restocking fees and repayment of shipping charges". I can fully understand the fees regarding a return "just because", but to deduct those fees from a refund on defective merchandise is in my opinion, a very poor and deceptive business practice! Bottom line is that with the original purchase price of the trumpet and addtional shipping costs to ship the 2 defective trumpets back to them, and what they deducted from my refund, I paid them $88.00 for nothing! A total of $140 paid to them,and a refund of $52.00! Buyer beware of this company! Yes they technically "honored" their terms, but I find their "terms" to be very deceptive. The original instrument and replacement instrument were both "defective"! It does not seem fair at all to charge a customer those fees when due to defective instruments!
