Review 3/10/2010
My experience with this dental office was awful! I made an appointment as a Delta Dental subscriber and provided my employer information which should be all that is needed to confirm benefits. Unfortunately, the office manager, didn't know how to dial information to find the number for my Delta office and didn't even bother to tell me until I arrived for my appointment. She proceeded to push the idea that there was an "in-office special" for the initial appointment and that I should just pay it up front and trust that they would reduce any future services by that amount. However, the next week when I arrived for my cleaning Faith informed me that I owed an additional amount for a visit I had already paid for in full because I had insurance! She is very unpleasant to deal with and the discussion took an accusatory tone that I could not tolerate. I walked out extremely upset at this ridiculous situation. Faith then took it upon herself to send my dental bill directly to collections. Nice.

On the brighter side, the dental hygienist was very good and Dr. Allen seemed nice.

My advice - get your dental insurance straightened out before you set foot in this office.

Business's response - by ProCare Dentistryon 7/8/2010
We have the best patients!!!! Unfortunately this patient came into our office without her insurance information available to us. There are many Delta Dental Plans, each of which has it's own contact number and benefit schedule. We extended her the courtesy of seeing her without her insurance information being known. We enjoyed our time with her and looked forward to treating her. When her insurance information became available to us, we billed her insurance and received partial payment. On her next appointment I asked for the remaining balance the insurance did not pay. This patient refused to pay her portion of what the insurance expected her to. We unfortunately had to seek other means for payment. We have found that problems like this arise due to patients not fully understanding their insurance benefits. No insurance pays everything 100%, there is always a co-pay required. Again, our patients are the best and we enjoy providing quality dentistry to them!!!
