Review 2/27/2009
I decided to pursue this work-at-home opportunity because of the 90-day risk-free trial period, and was lured into buying without researching (mistake!) by the claims of limited space available and that the $197 was a limited-time offer, while the normal price was $500. As promised, I received a call 3 weeks later from a tax service who was a partner with Process At Home. The cost of membership in The Tax Club should have been a red flag, but for some reason, I accepted it as a necessary part of the home business opportunity. Then, I started wondering . . . and a look back at the Process At Home welcome letter reminded me that the tax call had, in fact, been referred to as "concerning a free tax consultation" that was "yet another bonus you get as a member of this program." E-mail support called it a misprint.

By the time I got that reply, I had done the research I should have done sooner. If you've seen the BBB report on Process At Home, or some reviews written on the web, you know what I found out. I decided it would be better to cut my losses than to spend a lot of time and energy on something that looked like a scam.

It was easier than I thought to get the $197 back from Process At Home, but some of the money I paid The Tax Club was non-refundable, so I have received refunds according to policy, but lost quite a bit! Check the web for tips on avoiding work-at-home scams before buying into anything. Most, if not all, work-at-home ads don't pass the test! In retrospect, I'm surprised I fell for this one.
