update: NO resolution
2/14/18 update: This is probably the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to do business with. The refund check never arrived, no one will answer my emails, and when I downgraded my yelp review I received an email from the claim processing company stating that the claim was closed because "No signed release form accepting the settlement offered was received." Which is absolute bull; I have emails from their own company acknowledging receipt of the release form months ago. 1/17/18 update: We have been working through their claims process for the past five months and have finally reached (we hope) a resolution where they will pay back the money they overcharged. Supposedly a check is on the way. Update: Rhino and CSI Pros (the company they use to resolve disputes) are refusing to repay us the money they fraudulently took. We have been discussing this via email with them for nearly 5 months now. Their latest requirement is that we sign a legal document promising never to say anything negative about them anywhere, and take all reviews down entirely. We have stated that we will amend our reviews to reflect a positive solution once that actually occurs, but they refuse. This, right here, is why they don't have many bad reviews. It's because they gag everyone who tries to get their money back. Original review: I chose Rhino Relocation because it looked like they had great reviews. Our original estimate was for 729 cubic feet, and I requested that they bump it up to 800, because you always have more than you think, right? So our "binding" estimate was for 800 cubic feet. After loading the truck, the movers informed us that we actually had 1425 cubic feet, and would have to pay an additional $2000. Everything we owned was on their truck and we were flying to our new home - there was nothing we could do other than sign and pay. I knew it was wrong, though, because I had literally counted boxes and added up cubic feet the night before. When the truck arrived at our new home, we double checked with photos and measurements. Our items took up less than 1/3 of the space in a 1600 cubic foot truck, well UNDER our original bid amount of 800 cubic feet. Two of the guys who came to help unload (contracted from a different company) were really angry when they looked at our paperwork and the items in the truck. They advocated for suing the company and offered to testify for us in court. We don't want to sue, but we DO want our money back. This was fraud, plain and simple, and from the reviews I've been reading, it seems to be fraud that they commit frequently.
