Not worth the Anxiety
I ordered a dress from Belinda at the end of January and asked when she would have it done. Belinda said she would have it done in April, which was perfect for my June 27th wedding. April rolled around and she gave me the excuse that she had been organizing her workshop and she would have it to me in May. The middle of May rolled around and she once again gave me another excuse. I told Belinda that I HAD to have it by the beginning of June. With only a few days left until June 1st I contacted Belinda about my dress and did not hear back from her. My mother got involved and looked up her number, and left her a voicemail threatening to open a case with paypal about my dress if it did not arrive. Lo and behold, Belinda finally contacted me, gave me an extremely personal and unprofessional excuse, then told me my dress would be shipped using the fastest available option. It arrived June 2nd. The dress was beautiful, but I had to scramble to find undergarments, accessories, and make adjustments, and I didn't have enough time to have my seamstress hem the bottom, which got extremely dirty during my outdoor wedding. Furthermore, there was nowhere near enough time to find someone to make me a back up dress. Overall, the dress was definitely not worth the anxiety caused by the seller's poor communication and lack of professionalism. I am understanding of delays and being busy, but my dress was not ordered during a busy wedding season, and all of the excuses she gave me (cleaning out the workshop, planned hospital visits) were not unexpected. As a professional, she should have planned for these delays and given me a realistic deadline. Belinda never once contacted me to let me know that the deadline would not be met, I had to contact HER and leave her multiple messages before getting a response. As a customer, it makes me feel as though she did not value my business at all and could care less about my wedding anxiety. I understand being busy, but someone who cannot work with deadlines should NOT be working in the wedding industry.

Business's response - by Belinda B.on 7/6/2015
Reluctantly, I am forced to do a mini-rant here. This persons incredibly trashy behavior needs to be called out for all to see. I hate to spend another minute on her, but she is spending her life bad mouthing me online. I have no problem showing her for what she is. So inappropriate, it is utterly shocking. I put a notice up I was going to stop certain custom gowns, because things were so busy. She e-mails 10 days before the deadline I put, says she has saved up for that gown….and wants that particular gown so badly. Oh- and "hopes she has left me enough time" She orders it, and then casually sends her measurements. The gown is shown on a size 6 model, says nothing about plus size. She is size 28. I don't say anything because she appeared to really want that exact gown. What I DO do is custom make her gown, painstakingly sizing my pattern up 20 sizes for her. I never mention size, I never charge her more money. It is about 6 times more work for me. Does it take longer than anticipated, yes. Did I have 20-30 orders ahead of hers, yes. These are custom gowns….hand made. You cannot give an exact day 3-4 months from now when her gown will be done. You can only guesstimate. I give her an approx. time frame. I pay to overnight it when I feel the fit is right. Notice she says the gown is beautiful. It fit her right because I took the time to do it right. Now although this pattern was very hard to size up because it's a corset with cups, in a lightweight stretchy fabric….this is not a formal/fitted gown. This is for a casual park wedding. So this did not put her out at all. If she needed to hem it, a dry cleaner seamstress can serge the bottom in 1/2 hour, but she can't do that in 3-4 weeks…? Right. So here is the kicker- she leaves me this review here….I send her a note because after working so much harder on her gown, I don't appreciate that. I mention it took longer because I was sizing my pattern up 20 sizes. This is factual, real life information. THIS is what sets her OFF the rails. This must be a real touchy subject, because this unleashed a vicious, irrational attack. She begins an epic rant on her Facebook page about me, frothing up her minions. Such classy remarks as: I am a b*tch, a c*nt, one wants to curb stomp me…etc, etc. I understand they are kids…but still so lacking in class I was shocked. She says I am "fat shaming" her…..this is so ludicrous. 70% of my customers are plus size, I am plus size. She is on there just grasping at straws with this victim mentality, which she is an actual cyber bully. Her inappropriateness only escalates: sending a rambling curse filled e-mail on the morning of July 4th no less. I never received such a tacky e-mail in my 10 years. She cares so little about her actual marriage that she spews hatred and attacks on me above her post of her pretty little wedding photo. I know some people thrive on drama, but this is epic. I look at the childish, low-brow bashing going on….but this girl has saved her best for last. In our e-mails that were friendly, I made the mistake of mentioning two things that were happening. One, a workroom redo that had to be done…..and two a personal medical situation I was having appointments for at that time. I get along with just about everyone, so we had friendly banter. Many of my customers are friends years later on Facebook, I see them have their kids, etc. So maybe I talk a little too much sometimes, I didn't know she was a wolf in sheeps clothing until later. She is the only one I mentioned I was going through IVF to. I also told her it was personal between her and I. I was just explaining why my schedule was a little off because I had long random appointments I had to run to. She actually has the true audacity to use my medical information against me and post it online! Yes, she is that low of a person. Who does that? I am posting that here because she has already put that info on a bbb website. So incredibly tacky, but I don't want to give her any power over me…IVF is not anything embarrassing. It is because I am a slightly older hard working woman who lost a few years in her business, and is trying to finish her family. For someone to try and shame someone publicly for that is beyond words. Since I am more than twice her age I have more important things in life besides rolling around in the dirt with cyber bullies. She still has time in life to work on becoming a better human being….and I can only hope that for her.
