The Board of Directors at this Association has a zero tolerance with regard to waiving late fees. Furthermore, the homeowner could not produce a copy of a receipt which is automatically offered whenever someone comes to our office to make a payment. Given that this homeowner could not produce a receipt or a copy of a cancelled check, the Board of Directors denied her request to waive the late fee. The manager provided the homeowner with several different payment options to ensure that late fees would never again be an issue. As is our duty, we honored the decision made by the Board of Directors.
