Safeway is a bad choice for moving for several reasons. They do not follow the terms and conditions in the contract that they drafted. They say they accept Visa, MC, etc. They don't; the driver demands cash so I had to go to the bank to take out thousands of dollars. They say they assemble furniture. They don't. They do and use things that cost money without telling you or getting your approval beforehand. They wanted to charge me $1200 for packaging materials. More than the original estimate ($940 total) just for packing material. I got them to bring it down to $560 which is still too much considering they do not ask me what I wanted to use or how much I wanted to spend on boxes. Please use another company. This one has bad business practices. They are not American so there are cultural and professional barriers and they don't understand. Also, I tried calling Safeway and the answering machine said something to the effect of earning a six figure income and real estate. I called the same exact number I had called before. That in itself is enough to choose another moving company.
