Terrible Product, Horrible Company

Spent $110,000 on Sego Automation LP-100 louver machine. The machine was designed with critical faults, functioned poorly when it functioned, and never worked for more than two days at a time.
Sego shipped the LP-100 six months late with extra charges for expediting. The LP-100 arrived non-functional with bolts rolling around loose in its crate. Sego owner blamed us for not knowing how to uncrate and assemble.
Our factory foreman and in-house engineer struggled for next several months attempting to put the machine in operation and maintain it. Every ordinary operation threw the LP-100 incrementally out of alignment causing failures and dozens of hours of in-house technical work to repair. Sego's owner and chief engineer made two trips to our location because we "weren't operating properly" before recognizing that the LP 100 was missing a critical alignment piece. Company blamed us for needing an alignment piece.
Sego LP 100 operating software is intermittently faulty. Sego's engineer witnessed the fault in person and could not repair it. Sego could not administer any fix remotely, so picked up the machine with a promise to fix and return. Sego held the LP-100 for another 3 + months before blaming us for software defect and demanding additional $40,000 for their efforts to fix.
Sego promised a functioning LP-100 over one year ago. Sego charged us extra before receipt and is now holding machine hostage, will not guarantee function, and demanding additional money to return. We are the biggest consumer-direct shutter maker on West Coast with dozens of standard and automated machines. Sego is the worst vendor and the Sego LP-100 is the worst machine we have encountered in 40+ years.
