I was familiar with the body shop work at Shakas when Gerardo cleaned up some front end scratches on my Lexus GS400 a while back. I was referred to him then by a service tech mgr. at Lexus that I knew. When my Lexus was rear ended February 2011 my insurance carrier State Farm wanted to total my vehicle after the adjuster came to view my car which I brought to Gerado.
After some haggeling with State Farm and an assurance from Gerardo that my Lexus would be brought back to original in both appearance and functionality, State Farm finally agreed to repair my car at the agreed price to which I received their check.
Today March 14 I picked up my car and as Gerardo promised not only does the white pearl paint job on the entire car and the body work make the car look brand new, it rides perfectly and all the electronics and lights function as prior to the accident.I am very happy with the results.
So the lesson here is to not give in to your insurance company and to give your trust and body work to Shakas in Van Nuys, Ca.
