I would not reccommend this company to anyone, nor do I feel comfortable in rating them with one star, but this site gives me no other option.
In February 2007 I paid Shue Construction $2,154.00 to have a carport built at my home. I was informed by the owner's wife that, due to another project they were currently working on, my project would not be started until the early part of April 2007. Due to ongoing conflicting schedules the waiting period went into June and still no carport. By that time, I requested a refund and advised the contractor, Kevin Williams, that I would repay it when the work could be done. Mr. Williams told me that he was in Portland, Oregan and that it would be some weeks before he could return to New Mexico (based upon "permission from the State!!"). It took several weeks of calling, but I eventualluy received $1,000 of my refund. Advising Mr. Williams that I would not be using his service, I've made numerous attempts since last summer to collect the remaing balance, even suggesting monthly payments to me, but without success. The company has chosen to ignore this debt which has prompted me to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office as well as the Better Business Bureau.
