My partner and I attended a timeshare presentation in Lee, MA. We live almost 2 hours away and were on a time constraint but were told it would only take 90 minutes or so. Well the "or so" turned out to be well over 4 hours. First of all they ask everyone to be there at a certain time, so I am thinking it must be a group presentation. Cool. But instead, they take one couple/family at a time and we sat for almost 2 hours to wait for a representative for our presentation. They don't like taking no for an answer but we finally were moved on to pick up our "free" stuff, which of course you don't get until you go through the wait and presentation. We waited another hour after the presentation which was an hour to get our free stuff. Okay, out of there at almost 7pm. Now I am looking online to plan our free trips and you have to send in $100/free trip, and we have two,to even be able to browse accommodations and airports. After reading these other reviews, my fear is confirmed about horrid accommodations, inconvenient airports, unavailability and the chance I wouldn't get my $200 deposit back. I am not a gambler and I will not take a chance on something if I cant review specifics first. Seems dishonest they make you pay first before you can sign up and make selections for your own traveling. I used the $40 Visa card and will use the gas vouchers in return for the $20 I paid to go to the timeshare presentation.
