I am the general manager of Sundale Mutual Water Company. Below our responses to Lisa M. & Val B. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************** Re: Lisa M. response. I apologize for your poor experience with Sundale. Sundale is open Tues to Fri from 10am to 2pm. Customer called on Monday’s and when our office was closed. Always returned her call when a message was left the next business day. Our staff has explained her billing history on numerous occasions, including sending her a billing history. We are a nonprofit corporation overseen by our board of directors. Our shareholder, such as yourself, elect our board members as per our bylaws. In order to serve on our Board of Directors, you have to own property in our service area. This is no different to our elected officials, such as county, city, and state. They also have to live in the area that they serve. We had a vacancy on the board for over 6 months, until it is filled by a member in our servicing area. Sundale welcomes any shareholder to attend our board monthly meetings and voice their concerns. Our board meetings are normally held on 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at our office, 7900 Birch Ave, Rosamond. Sometimes we have to change the board meeting date to accommodate directors’ schedule(s), but the board meeting date will be on the back of the bill. I apologize that your experience with our company has been so awful. We are a private nonprofit organization. We do not do whatever we want. We have reporting agencies that regulate Sundale, such as the CDPH. We always welcome shareholders opinions at our meetings. We have changed several policies due to shareholder’s input at our meetings. We ALWAYS every year hand out financial statements in our annual meeting packet at the annual meeting normally held in April. If you are unable to attend, please contact us and request an annual meeting packet and Sundale will mail it out within 2 business days of the request. It has no bearing on whether the president’s daughter works for the Sundale or not, which she does not work here. When your water bill receives a late charge, please contact us immediately to avoid future late charges, instead of ignoring them for over a 60 day period resulting in a disconnection notice. Please attend our board meetings and address your concern(s) with Sundale, we will not insult you and take your concerns seriously. Our board meetings are normally held on 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at our office, 7900 Birch Ave, Rosamond.
