I, too, sent away for the "free" trial. It arrived with the information that they would automatically send me a month's supply after my 14 day trial. I called the 800 number and cancelled. I also received a cancellation number. Two weeks later I had a charge on my credit card for the monthly shipment. I immediately called the company to complain on 12/31/2008. I was told that there was no mention of a call into them on my account information. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and he assured me that I would be issued a refund and to keep the shipment for free for the trouble that they caused.
I wait for the credit to appear. I call back on 1/9/2009 and am told that there was a problem with the bank and the changing of the end of the year (as an excuse). I am assured that I am being issued a manual refund now. It will show up in 3-5 days.
I continue to wait. I call back on 1/13/09 and am asked did I send back the last shipment, which I explain why I have not(see above). I am told to continue to wait as it has not been 5 days yet.
I call back on 1/16/09 as I still have no credit listed in my account. I am asked again, did you return the last shipment. I explain again. I ask for a Supervisor. I am put on hold for several minutes for several times. I am asked for my credit card information from the call center rep. I reply, I WANT THE SUPERVISOR!! I finally get a Supervisor who tells me he has just issued a manual refund and he gives me a TRANSACTION ID to track with my bank. I hope that he is telling the truth. I will be checking it. Please do not hang up if they have not given you some kind of transaction ID for you to check on. Good luck to all. I will not be back as a direct customer in the future.
I will order from Amazon if I want any in the future as the product seemed to work some for my energy level.
