Had a similar bad experience with Ticketmaster when purchsing tickets for Fleetwood Mac concert in San Jose, CA on May 21, 2009. Best advertised price for Section 204 at Sharks' stadium was $103 per ticket. When we purchased we were rerouted to a third party "BestSeats.com", only we didn't realize it til we got the tickets in the US mail. They were originally purchased by a third party whose name was listed on the electronic tickets which he purchased for $46.50. It was a slick transfer to another website that 3 of us sitting at the computer at the time didn't notice. There were NO tickets on sale at Ticketmaster for this concert for $46.50 when we purchsed our tickets.
If this is intentional; then it's unethical. Beware of third party scalpers. From now on, we'll avoid Ticketmaster and stick to local events.
