Title Document Source of Burbank, California has sent unsolicited documents to homesteading my home after my wife and I refinanced. This company is breaking the law in multiple ways:
1. It is against the law of California to solicit funds up front that this company is clearly doing for the service of homesteading ones property.
2. It is against the law of California to change more than $25 for this service including the notary service, which Title Document Source clearly is requesting the applicant to do.
3. Title Document Source is being deceptive when requesting that the only way to obtain homesteading is to file this document. Cal. law states that the homesteading is automatic for involuntary seizure of property. A homestead document does not need to be filed.
I notice that Title Document Source has received an "F" rating for their service from the BBB. It's no wonder!!! I am amazed that this company has not been shut down by the State of California. They refused to answer five phone messages left concerning this issue.
